Signs Your European Automobile Needs a Fuel Injector Cleaning

Over-the-counter fuel injector cleaners cannot do as good a job of removing the carbon build-up inside the injectors as a professional cleaning by East Coast EuroWerks can. We are experts at carbon cleaning in European automobile engines. If you are experiencing any of the problems listed below while you are driving your European beauty, head to our shop for a carbon cleaning.

Sputtering/Misfiring

If the injectors are clogged or leaking, there will be an uneven stream of gasoline or diesel fuel into the cylinders. Unfortunately, this uneven stream can make the engine in your European beauty sputter and misfire. We can restore the smooth engine performance you are used to by cleaning the injectors or replacing them if they have cracked. This is possible if your vehicle is older.

Rough Engine Idle

The uneven stream of fuel is also going to affect how smoothly your European engine idles. Unfortunately, the idle will get rough and the engine might even stall while you are sitting there. The combustion chamber needs a steady stream of fuel in order to produce combustion efficiently. Clogged or leaking injectors directly affect the efficiency of the combustion production.

Reduced Fuel Efficiency

Consequently, your European automobile is going to see a reduction in its fuel efficiency because the engine is not running efficiently. This can make things miserable financially if you have to fill the tank more often, which you will have to do. A carbon cleaning will restore the engine’s efficiency, and, as such, the efficiency of the fuel burning inside of the engine.

Dancing RPM Needle

We mentioned above the engine performance and idle will struggle with leaking or clogged injectors. The leaking injectors can also infuse the engine with too much fuel in spurts. When this happens, your engine’s RPMs will increase and the engine may even pick up speed by itself. This can make driving your European automobile stressful if you don’t know what it’s going to do.

The Car Won’t Start

Finally, clogged injectors can prevent the delivery of fuel to the combustion chamber. When this happens, your European automobile’s engine cannot start. As such, you will be stranded with a dead engine and will have to have your baby towed to our shop. Once we get the vehicle, we will unclog the injectors and, again, replace any injectors that need to be replaced.
